After more than one year work of preparation and a meeting
between the boards of both organisations in Paris on April 25 and 26,
2007 it is done: Anneliese Hackmann,
president of the World Cat Federation (WCF) and Pascal Pobé,
president of the Livre Officiel des Origines félines (LOOF), signed
the minutes of a mutual agreement.
The agreement includes:
the shows with mutual recognition of title certificates
the registration with mutual recognition of the
pedigrees
the judges with mutual recognition of the judges
the standards with the purpose to define standards,
which can be mutually recognized
the future coordination
Working group
LOOF and WCF implemented a permanent working group, which
should prepare proposals for harmonizing the different rules.
Periodical exchange of information and an annual meeting
should guarantee good relations.
The vision in common is "mutual recognition and
co-operation“. Instead of competition the WCF and LOOF intend
to promote common ideals and purposes and to work for their
realisation. A new chance for the international Cat Fancy.
